On Tuesday 31st January 3rd class travelled to Ballinacarriga to take part in an indoor hurling competition against Barryroe NS., knocksceagh NS and Derrinacahara NS. We had two teams, all boys had a very enjoyable day, doing themslves, their famillies and school proud. Well done boys.
On Monday 16th 4th Class travelled to Ballinacarriga to participate in a 4th Class hurling league. The boys won all 4 group matches against St. Patricks BNS Skibbereen, Clonakilty Gaelscoil and Laragh NS. Unfortunately they were defeated in the final. The boys did themselves, their families and their school proud. Well done boys.

On Monday November 21st 5th Class attended the launch of the HUB at U.C.C. This was as a result of the schools participation in the program over the last few years. Guest speakers on the day were Minister for Foreign Affairs Simon Covney, the Lord Mayor of Cork and the President of UCC. They day was topped off with some food, a dvd and a tour of U.C.C. A huge congratulations to our principal Miss. Nì Shùilleabhàin who received an award on the day for her participation in the program since its beginning. Here are some pictures from the day.
Classes enjoyed a STEM workshop where they learned about helicopters and created a helicopter using LEGO. It was very enjoyable and boys were very proud of their creations. Here are a selection of some of their helicopters.

Well done to all boys who took part in the hurling school leagues. After some terrific games in both leagues Team B captained by Harry Duggan won the Junior League and Team B captained by Filip Koweleski won the Senior League.
Thank you to all the boys who took part in Jersey day for GOAL. A total of €140 was raised.
