Dear Parents /Guardians
We hope you have been keeping well and safe this past week and the boys are adjusting to working at home. They have all been provided with work however we would advocate plenty of study breaks, learning outside is also an option – playing, gardening, creative work, going for walks, having quiet time are all valuable life skills. You may have seen different initiatives on various social media platforms and in the media which you may also find useful. Some boys might find it a good opportunity to practice their hurling skills or football skills in preparation for our School Leagues and Sciath na Scol once we return to school.
In relation to returning to school unfortunately we know as much as you do. We are aware of various speculations that school closures will last for months but this is speculation. We are expecting the Minister of Dept. of Ed. to make an announcement at some time in the coming week and we will follow his instruction.
It is a difficult, strange and at times a stressful period for all of us and an anxious time for children. Please continue to mid yourselves in these unprecedented times and to follow the HSE guidelines regarding hygiene and social distancing (https://www.hse.ie/eng/services/news/newsfeatures/covid19-updates/partner-resources/covid-19-translated-resources/).
We would appreciate if you could share this with anyone within our school community who was not in a position to submit email details.
Míle buíochas agus dea ghuí.
Gráinne and all at Scoil Phádraig Naofa.
