A huge congratulations and well done to our Sciath na Scol team who drew with Castletownbere in the Sciath na Scol Final. The boys played their hearts out in a titanic battle. They did themselves, their families and their school proud. Thank you to the boys and parents who came to support. Both teams will share the cup for the coming year. Scoil Phàdraig Abu!
Thank you to Phillip Kelleher, Station Officer of Dunmanway Fire Brigade, for calling to the school to give a take on fire safety in our homes. The boys learned very important points on how we can keep our homes safe from fire. Boys also participated in a fire drill led by Phillip.
Well done to the Sciath na Scol boys who defeated Castletownbere and Newcestown in two very exciting games of football. We now play Castletowmbere on Thursday the 26th in the final.
The boys of 5th and 6th Class travelled to Sam Maguire Park on Friday May 3rd to participate in the next round of Sciath an Scol matches. The boys defeated St. Mary’s of Enniskeane in the first match but unfortunately were defeated in the second match by Newcestown National School in a titanic battle. All boys should be very proud of themselves and represented their school well. We now wait in hope that our efforts will be good enough to reach the final. Scoil Phadraig Abù
